The room was luxurious, spotlessly clean and thoughtfully set up to make the sweeping ocean views part of the stay. Waking up to that outlook each morning was a highlight. The location is also hard to beat, just a 2-minute stroll from the ferry and an easy 10-15 minute walk to the village cafes, restaurants and shops, while still feeling peaceful and private. From the time we booked, communication was clear, prompt and warm. Our hosts were wonderful and made us feel welcome, with nothing too much trouble. We loved our stay at The Moorings, Waiheke, and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend it.

The views were incredible, and we loved being greeted by the friendly dogs. It’s so convenient to the ferry and only a short walk to town, so we didn’t need a car. The spot is fabulous, and the hosts went above and beyond.

Waking up to that distant view of Auckland in such a quiet, calm setting was amazing. It’s a hard place to describe, with a fantastic location and a feel that makes it ideal for couples after a romantic, relaxing break. Waikehe island is lovely too, a little tropical paradise in its own right. Rent a car and explore the island’s wineries.

I’ve been back several times to these picture perfect studios. The beds are so comfortable, and waking up to that view never gets old. It’s peaceful, and the hosts make us feel incredibly welcome. The Moorings is a lovely place to unwind and reset, with quiet luxury and nearby walks, vineyards and beaches to explore and enjoy.
