The vineyard views were amazing, and the accommodation had comfy beds and all the comforts of home. Trudy made us feel like family from the moment we met, and her breakfasts were fit for a king. Barry brought charm, personality, and plenty of vineyard knowledge. We were on our honeymoon, and from arrival felt we were in paradise, so leaving was hard. I’d had a visit to Straw Lodge on my bucket list for years while planning a two-month New Zealand holiday. It’s a private oasis among spectacular vineyards, a hidden gem in Blenheim, with genuine, friendly hosts. If you’re planning a stay, pair the lodge with a meal at Gramado’s restaurant for memories that last. It’s a great place to be if you’re visiting Blenheim.
