The central location is handy for travellers, but we were concerned about cleanliness. The top cover was stained, the sheet didn't look as if it had been changed, and a bug jumped out of the bed. Furniture is aging and the room needs a makeover. The toilet flush also needs repair. Agoda's high rating should be reviewed.

The photos on booking sites led me to expect something quite different from Arthur Court Motor Lodge on Sherborne Street. The units looked nothing like the online pictures, and the property seemed in disrepair. The reception was shut and boarded up after a previous fire, with no renovation done. There were no staff or owners on site; I had to call a number to reach anyone. Our unit was dirty when we arrived. The bed covers were filthy, so I took them off and slept with just the sheets. Basic service was lacking too. They didn't replace the coffee in the morning, and the TV in our room had no live TV. On our first morning there was no hot water, so we couldn't shower or get ready properly before going out. The owners' response was the worst part. When I complained about the hot water and broken TV, they were unhelpful and threatened to call the police if I complained again. I also spoke to other guests who described similar cleanliness and service problems. Please take this warning seriously. The place felt neglected and dirty, and the people managing it were hostile toward paying guests. Save your money and sanity, and stay elsewhere.

The booking was suddenly cancelled the first time, so I had to find another hotel and rebook, which was a hassle. Now that I'm here, the WiFi is extremely slow, with so much lag I can't even watch videos. I stayed in room 8, which looked very different from the pictures. The room wasn't nice, the sheets were dirty, and the toilet was small. This is not a 4-star hotel, more like 1 or 2 stars. Don't stay here.

We felt very comfortable here. The place is spotless, well maintained and in a great location. The staff were friendly and great to deal with, especially accommodating when we needed a late checkout. I highly recommend it.

Inside, it was very quiet despite being by a busy road, with everything nearby. The room was nicely furnished, the kitchenette well equipped, and room service was provided. Everything was impeccably clean. The lady who checked me in was very nice. Thank you!
