Hotel Give

As a digital nomad, I loved having coworking areas on every floor. Hotel Give has five floors, each with large tables and a room you can close off for some quiet and privacy, which made working remotely easy. The people were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the stay even better. Even as a hostel, it felt modern and well designed, and the dorm beds were really comfortable. The bathrooms were excellent, with modern showers, clean, well-kept toilets, and lots of room for your things. Honestly one of my favourite hostels ever. I’d return without hesitation and recommend it to anyone.

The hotel had everything I needed, was clean and cosy, and I felt safe and relaxed throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the cleaning crew, who always took a moment to say hello, even when they were busy. Kelly and Sameera at reception were wonderful too. I had a lot on my mind, and Kelly made me feel at home, beyond just being welcomed as a hotel guest. Sameera was gracious and helpful, and always made time for all my questions. It’s a little farther from the CBD than I’d prefer, mostly because carrying groceries would be easier closer in. Still, the hotel’s atmosphere really suited me, and it was a perfect experience. I’ll definitely stay again.

The noise travelled easily between rooms, but the staff worked hard and handled it efficiently. The people next door quieted down quickly after I told the receptionist how noisy they were. The location was great, beside the botanic garden and the observatory, with easy parking nearby. There’s a kitchen for cooking, and the bathroom is shared by just two people.

Right beside Botanic Gardens, with Cashel street just one street over and downtown a ten-minute walk away. The room was comfortable, clean, and had both heating and cooling, plus Grohe shower taps. There’s a shared kitchen if you feel like cooking. Only one lift, and the wifi was a little slow, but both were manageable.
