We slept so well in the comfortable bed, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to unwind. Awatuna Homestead was spotless and beautifully kept, with a lot of care put into the place. The hosts welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived. It was a lovely stay, and we’d happily recommend Awatuna Homestead for a relaxing break and genuine Kiwi hospitality. We hope we can visit again.

Paul and his wife, along with their grandson, were lovely hosts. They even baked us fresh cookies, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The garden and setting are stunning, and the renovated apartment is so pretty. It felt like home right away. Everything was just perfect. We’d love to come back and see them again. Paul, hope you guys are well, and that we get to see you sometime!

Out of our three weeks of travelling, this was our favourite stay. Paul, Lynley and Jack made the whole family feel welcome at Awatuna Homestead. The apartment was just right, and we really appreciated all the thoughtful provisions and gifts. Thanks for having us!

The welcome gifts were such a treat: a bottle of fizzy sauvignon blanc and delicious banana bread, with butter waiting in the fridge. Lynsey and Paul are brilliant hosts, and their recently refurbished Piper's Flat apartment was extremely clean and comfortable. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you need accommodation in the Hototiki area.
