The food was fantastic, and all six of us enjoyed our meals. Service had a couple of small misses: they cleared our cocktails before we’d finished them, and the starter bread arrived on a large plate with no side plates. I had to get those myself from a nearby server table. Still, the meal was great overall, and I’d come back for the food.

The breakfast is delicious, and the restaurant food is really good too. We booked a junior suite and found it clean, spacious, and nicely decorated, with everything we needed: a fridge, microwave, coffee machine, sink, utensils, and dishes. There’s a balcony facing the parking lot, plus a fitness room and a small garden. The hotel is a short walk from the city center, with plenty of free parking. I’d recommend staying for drinks and dinner or snacks. I’ve written a separate review of the restaurant.

Quiet rooms, a nice restaurant, and even croquet for anyone who gets very competitive. The staff were lovely, and the e-bikes were complimentary. There’s a gym, good parking, two parks nearby, and the trams are close too. I’ll stay again.

We stayed Dec 13/14, 2024, for our first nights in New Zealand and had a great time. Our room was spacious, well equipped, and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was varied and well prepared. Even though we arrived just as the kitchen was closing, they still provided us with dinner. The service was excellent. That’s all I have to say!
