We enjoyed staying in the house so much that we just wanted to spend the whole night there. It was light and warm, and felt both luxurious and homely. There are nice places to eat nearby, though we didn't feel like going out. The care and comfort in the details really stood out, as did the house's history. Our hosts were generous and attentive. Thank you!

Joe and Simone were great hosts, and every visit here has felt special. The colonial cottage has been beautifully refurbished, with gorgeous decor throughout that brings its past together with a modern makeover. Everything you need is there, and chch city centre is just a short walk away if you want to explore the sites. I've stayed many times and would happily return.

Our family of four stayed for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed it, including the hospitality from Simone and Joe. The house has everything you need for a modern home away from home, while keeping the charm of its colonial build. It was built at the turn of the century and has recently been renovated to a high standard. The accommodation is beautifully presented and close to central Christchurch. Thanks for your hospitality!

The beds were comfortable and the showers had a great strong flow of hot water. The place was so cosy, with everything needed for the stay, and it was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. A wonderful, lovingly restored modern historic place. I stayed for two nights.
