The rooftop hot tub was a treat after a day cycling, and having a washing machine really helped halfway through our New Zealand trip. The apartment suited us perfectly, with plenty of restaurants an easy walk away.

We had a lovely couple of days at the Sumner Re Treat Luxury Apartments. The apartment was very well equipped, and the rooftop jacuzzi was great. The pool was closed for winter. My only gripe was that the bedding, including the pillows, could do with an update. Aside from that, we’d happily recommend it.

The beach and local shops are just a few minutes away on foot, which made this a great place to begin our New Zealand trip. Chris was kind and helpful, and the apartment was spotless, comfortable, and fitted with modern amenities. The three of us loved staying at Sumner Re Treat.

The rooftop spa pool had great views, and the bed was really comfortable. I was surprised by how roomy the studio was. It had a full kitchen and everything I needed, and it was warm, clean, and modern. A lovely place for one or two people. I’ll stay again.

After a long flight and a night in Auckland, we were glad to find such a spotless, nicely decorated place at Sumner Re Treat. Chris met us and showed us to our room. It had all the amenities we needed, with a contemporary look and a great location. The beach is a short walk away, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. I’d recommend Sumner Retreat if you’re visiting Christchurch and want to stay outside the City Centre.
