The Garden Hotel and Restaurant

There was plenty to choose from at Garden Restaurant Buffet, from seafood and roasts to salads and desserts, and everything we tried tasted great. The food was fresh and nicely presented, with dishes being topped up regularly. Staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, and the quality and range made it really good value. I'd happily return.

The buffet lunch is worth the money, and the venue is clean and cozy. It works for family or corporate celebrations, whether the event is small or large. A place worth visiting.

We celebrated my mother's birthday at Garden Restaurant on Friday the 13th, and it turned into a memorable evening. The food was full of flavour and beautifully presented, and the staff made sure my mother felt special with attentive service. The setting felt elegant but still comfortable. My family and I were thoroughly impressed, and I'd highly recommend it for special occasions.

We had four adults and one child at the Garden Restaurant Buffet for Christmas lunch, our first time going out for Christmas Day dining. I was unsure about the choice, especially after reading mixed reviews that mostly seemed to be about the regular buffet, and got more nervous as the day approached. Our allocated two-hour sitting began at 11:30. It was busy, as you'd expect. We were shown to our table, which had Christmas crackers, candles, and a chocolate for each person. The ticket price was, I think, $180 per person, and each diner got a voucher for one glass of bubbly or a non-alcoholic drink. We had booked what we thought would be a good time, but many of the popular dishes were nearly gone when we first looked around the buffet and hadn't been replenished. We asked the staff, and they got them topped up quickly, or as fast as the chefs could prepare them. There was far more choice than I expected for Christmas lunch, spread across so many food stations. The dishes had their own distinct flavours and didn't have that usual buffet taste. The salad and dessert stations were great too, if you had room after the mains. Tea, coffee, and Christmas baking were available as well. The food selection and the number of staff working on Christmas Day made the $180 feel worthwhile, even though it is quite pricey. I was impressed, and so were our other guests, especially since this was our first Christmas Day buffet. Thanks to the Garden Restaurant and Buffet team, including the staff who spent the day working to feed everyone instead of being with their families. We'd probably come again. Next time we'd arrive much earlier, ideally for the first sitting.
