We loved how Woodbank Cottage was close to the center but tucked away from the bustle. It was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed, and more. When we arrived, the fire was already lit and there was a beautifully arranged platter of delicious treats, such a thoughtful touch. A magical, relaxing stay with exceptional hosts. We’d happily return.

We loved waking up to snowy mountain tops on our morning run. The cabin is a few minutes out of town, which gives it a lovely sense of space and quiet. It was cozy, well appointed, and the wood fire made it especially nice. The welcome goodies were a thoughtful touch. My wife and I had a great stay, and we’re so glad Hanmer Springs was part of our NZ itinerary. The Springs are not to be missed, and we enjoyed walking around town and the surrounding area. Highly recommended!

The views were stunning, and the roaring fire kept the cottage snug. Mike, Liz and Dottie were perfect hosts, attentive and approachable while still leaving us to ourselves, which I loved. Absolutely beautiful here. We didn’t want to leave and would return in a heartbeat.

We loved the spot overlooking the paddocks and the horses next door. The resident chickens wandering around were a fun touch, and the hosts were lovely and accommodating. It’s a short trip into town for the pools, walks and biking. We’d love to visit again and would happily stay here.

The cheese platter was a nice addition, and the friendly chickens and the hosts’ little dog popping by each day to say hi made the stay fun. The cottage was quiet, well kept and spacious, with just-right heating from both the wood burner and heat pump. Amazing hosts and a lovely location just outside town. No complaints at all. We’ll miss this place and highly recommend it to others.
