We loved our garden room, and the place felt so welcoming and comfortable. The bathrooms were lovely and had complimentary soaps. The hosts are lovely, and the dogs are gorgeous. We’ll definitely come back to try the hot tub.

We’ve just got back from a comfortable stay at Lilac Rose. Pam and Denis greeted us warmly and cooked a lovely breakfast the next morning. They were friendly and helpful, and the garden hot tub was a nice touch. It was maybe a little far out of Christchurch for us, but that did make it very quiet and peaceful. A good start to our New Zealand trip, and we’d definitely return. Thank you both. Gary and Sharon Jordan

After a very long travel day, unwinding in the amazing spa and looking out over the garden from our room was just lovely. We’d been upgraded to the Garden Room at no extra charge because there were no other guests that night, a kind gesture we really appreciated. The owners were thoughtful and went to great effort to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. Such a charming place in Christchurch. I’d highly recommend it. Thank you, Pam and Dennis. We hope to see you again one day!

The garden view room was lovely, and it stayed nice and quiet. We had a hot, hearty breakfast, the bed was made up each day, and there was an outdoor spa to enjoy. The hosts were warm and friendly.

Sharing the house with two other couples turned out to be a wonderful experience. It was our first B&B stay, so we felt a little unsure at first, but Dennis and Pam did everything they could to help us feel at home. Their two very well-behaved dogs were adorable too. We can highly recommend it.
