Baz was lovely. He showed me around the park, including a short hike tucked away inside. The park has a really local feel that's quite different from other holiday parks, and I loved that. I paid $15 for one night without power. It's a little further up from Coromandel town, but cheaper than the holiday park in town. The spot is right across from the sea and would be great for sunset, though it was cloudy while I was there. The toilets and kitchen were clean, and the kitchen had the usual utensils, which was a plus. The wifi was strong only near the kitchen, and phone reception was a bit weak. Still, it was nice to take a break from devices and enjoy the moment. Half the park was unoccupied, so the night was quiet. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

We had an amazing first visit to oamaru bay tourist camp. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the facilities are very clean and tidy. It's just a quick dash over to the beach. Great service and amazing customer service too. We'll be back!

It was pouring when we arrived after booking by email, and Baz insisted we use a trailer instead of sleeping in the back of the car. He wouldn't take no for an answer. He was so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of information about local activities, the weather, and where we were travelling next. Such good value and great hosts. We'll definitely come back.

Our cabin was spacious, spotless, well equipped, and had stunning sea views. It's in a perfect spot just above lovely Oamaru beach, and it made a great base for exploring the beautiful Coromandel peninsula. The owner was a lovely person and lent kayaks to our daughters. We recommend staying here 100%. Thanks, Baz and Col!
