This place is charming, welcoming, and a real pleasure to stay in. Margie is such a lovely, entertaining character and a brilliant host that I can’t relate at all to the previous Google review. Maybe it’s an Airbnb thing? The homestead was a private residence for a long time and was closed to nightly stays. I can only guess that the other reviewer abused the privilege of leaving a false, malicious comment for some nefarious reason. Perhaps Google should require proof of purchase for reviews.

I had an awful experience. The owners were incredibly rude and self-centered, and I’d avoid this place if you can. Dunedin has many better places to stay. The owners broke multiple laws during my stay. Seriously, avoid this dump.
