The only positives were the modern room, decent kitchenette, and good shower pressure when we had water. There was no power for half a day, then no water or hot water, so the toilets wouldn’t flush and we couldn’t shower. On the second day the TV just showed the letter n and kept loading. I called reception twice and got no answer. I ordered breakfast by putting the order on my door, but it never arrived. Parking cost $15 a night, but cars blocked the entrance so we couldn’t get in. When I raised it, the larger lady was very rude and had an attitude problem. The young women at the desk during check-in and checkout, though, were very polite. At 11 at night I couldn’t even get out for a walk because I was locked in. There was dust where the cups are kept upside down, and staff were loud while cleaning rooms during the day, which felt really unprofessional. I don’t think I’ll return. They didn’t even respond to my feedback.

Reception kindly called us after we checked out early the next day to let us know we’d accidentally left our medications in the room. They’d also unexpectedly managed to accommodate our early check-in.

I felt comfortable and safe as a solo female traveller, and the team was fantastic. A quick phone call was all it took for them to arrange a late checkout around my pickup time, which I really appreciated. Booking direct through the Quest Dunedin Website was easy, check-in went smoothly, and I was warmly welcomed. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location worked well, within walking distance of nearby supermarkets and other services. Thanks for a great stay!

Our room had a really good shower, and the beds were comfy. The rooms were comfortable too.
