I had a wonderful night’s sleep in the Jules Verne room. It was comfortable as well as sophisticated and classic, and I enjoyed exploring it to find all the interesting little details and surprises. The Brac & Bow restaurant has a warm, inviting feel, and the staff are superb. From the elegant, stylish entrance to the food and decor, the attention to detail and service made me feel a little special. I’ve stayed in hotels around the world, and this Wairarapa hotel is something special and already one of my favourites. I highly recommend it.

The service was excellent, and the food was really good. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality and flavour made it worth every penny. My room was gorgeous, tidy and quiet, with comfortable air conditioning and a super comfortable bed. Definitely a 10/10 hotel for me, and I’d stay again.

On Monday the 26th, Chrissy, if I have her name right, seemed to be doing everything: serving drinks at the bar, looking after tables and making sure everyone was cared for, all with a smile. This was my second stay, and I loved it again. We’ll probably be back in about two years, if we’re still around.

Our large group was looked after well by the friendly staff, and the food arrived without much of a wait considering how many of us there were. It was great food, too, and the place is in a good location.

We had such a mellow, lovely night away to celebrate John's birthday. The food was delicious and classy, and thanks to the whole team, Sharon, Bex and especially Kristy, if I’ve got the names right. The chefs and kitchen crew deserve a big thank you too, even if they’re behind the scenes.
