Geraldine Top 10 Holiday Park

We were travelling in an RV and found this to be a pleasant, well-equipped campground, one of the best organised on our two-week drive. The kitchen, toilets and showers were all well presented. The BBQ facilities were great, and the dump station was easy to use, with a sanitation station for afterwards. Geraldine is a beautiful town that deserves a walk around. I'd encourage everyone to stop here.

Sally at check-in was very friendly, and the park looked well presented when we arrived. Our powered site had grass and nice shade. The outdoor dining area was great, with two large gas BBQs and a gas pizza oven. The main kitchen block had washing machines, ovens, toasters, air fryers and instant hot water. The toilet block was a good size, with spacious toilet-shower rooms and good hot showers.

I had an unpowered campsite for one night and could easily have stayed longer. The communal areas are really well kept and clearly looked after. It's close to the shops and nearby walks, and the Wi-Fi worked like a treat. Absolutely recommend.

The room listings are confusing and misleading. On the main page, only one room is clearly marked as having a shared bathroom, which makes it seem the other types have private bathrooms. That isn't the case. Several also share bathrooms, but this key detail is buried in the fine print instead of appearing in the room title. I found out there was no private bathroom only after arriving. When I raised it at the front desk, the owner seemed to understand the problem straight away, but said “it’s written in the details” and blamed me for not reading everything closely. I found that dismissive and unpleasant. The titles seem worded to make less desirable rooms look more appealing, while basic information about shared bathrooms is hidden. This should be stated clearly on the main listing, so guests know before booking. I asked for a refund because the listing was misleading, but the owner refused, saying the booking was “non-refundable”. That felt unfair and unreasonable. This wasn't me changing my mind, the problem was false or incomplete advertising. Keeping crucial details hidden until after payment leaves guests unable to make an informed choice, then without a remedy when they discover the issue. I'm writing this to warn other travellers: don't assume a room has a private bathroom unless the title explicitly says so. Refunds may also be refused even when the listing is misleading. Given the unclear information and how the complaint was handled, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
