The kids still talk about how comfortable the beds were. Our one night at Rawhiti House, while passing through town off the trail, was really memorable. We wished we could have stayed longer, but our travel plans didn't allow it, and I'm sure we'll come back for a few nights. It was very clean, with a nice large lounge, free laundry and dryer, and, of course, free Wi-Fi. The owners were super nice and helpful. Highly recommend for backpackers or anyone passing through Geraldine.

The owner was very nice, and the place was well maintained. It's the only backpacker place available around. The kitchen and toilets were clean, and the kitchen had all the basics, from pots and pans to crockery and spices. The beds were comfortable, and central heating kept the place warm. It was a little expensive, but the overall experience was good.

It's simple accommodation, and you get what you pay for. The room was warm thanks to the central heating, which I really appreciated. There are no frills, but it was nice to have access to a piano, board games and TV. It's in a quiet suburban area. Town is very quiet too, and the local shop shuts at 8!

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. My bed was excellent, one of the best I've had, and there are comfortable places to relax both inside and outside. It's a peaceful setting, and the backpackers is excellent, very clean and well equipped.

Friendly, helpful service and clean, tidy rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. This is a great backpackers that ticks all the boxes. The old maternity hospital is well suited to the job and set up with all the kitchen equipment, books, games, DVDs and TV. It caters for families, individuals, couples and all ages. Fantastic!
