The spa bath was just what I needed after travelling. The room was tidy and comfortable, and although it was a busy little place, the other guests were friendly and considerate. Staff were friendly and informative. There are coin-operated washers and dryers. The location is on the main road but outside the middle of town, while still close enough to shops and places to eat.

Just a couple of weeks before my niece's wedding, the new owners cancelled a booking I'd made months earlier, saying they were going to use the premises for other purposes. Disgusting! Good on you, hope you're happy when your emergency guests wreck the place.

Dinner was a delicious home-cooked meal with dessert every night 😊. The staff were always polite and went out of their way to help with requests. My room was spotless and serviced daily, with fresh, clean towels. The shower had excellent pressure, and the air conditioning was perfect after a hot day at work. I'd happily return if I'm back working in Gisborne. Thank you for an awesome stay. Tumu towels

This is the best motel I've stayed in in New Zealand. The room was quite spacious and very clean, with a spacious bathroom, and everything was very nice. The staff were very friendly, and our host suggested places for dinner and things to do the next day.

For that price, this was way over the top, probably by 70%. We booked a fold-out couch for the kids, but it was broken when we arrived, and we were told they should "top and tail". The bed was broken too. The place was more expensive than much better places we've stayed in Rotorua, Napier, Taupo, and Auckland, yet it was by far the most neglected and poorly cleaned. I understand prices go up for high season, but the cleanliness and professionalism should match what you're paying. I wouldn't recommend it. If it's the only bed left after a last-minute itinerary change, expect to be disappointed.
