The laundry was complimentary, which was a real help after four hot days on a coach tour. We’d booked dinner and were running short on time while our washing was still spinning, so Karen offered to collect it and hang it on a clothes rack she brought for our room. Karen and Graham were friendly, welcoming managers. We stayed two nights, had a very spacious room and a great shower. We’d definitely choose this place again when we’re in Gisborne.

Ten couples had a wonderful weekend enjoying Gisborne’s food. The owners were generous and happily met my requests with a smile, so I rated the stay very highly.

We’d booked online from Australua without really knowing what to expect, but the location worked out well. It’s an easy walk into town and to the dining spots across the boat harbour. The rooms are large. Nothing fancy, but the bed was comfortable and the shower nice and hot, which is what you need when travelling. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when we asked where to eat that evening.

The manager was so helpful and accommodating, arranging an early check-in and an extra key, and helping with whatever we needed. We loved the room, especially the comfortable bed and pillows that weren’t hard. After bowling all day, soaking my tired muscles in the spa bath was great. We had a lovely river view and a verandah to sit on, plus plenty of parking. Eateries and the beach are an easy walk away. We’d definitely stay again!

The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, with a good bed and a great shower. It’s a lovely spot across from the water, within walking distance of restaurants and the Gizzy sign. The owners were welcoming and friendly.
