Pohara Beach Top 10 Holiday

The owners have lots of good ideas for the park, but told us they're held back by TDC, who own the land and buildings. It's a shame, as they're clearly motivated to make it even better. We had another fantastic stay at Pohara Top10 in our camper. The facilities were clean, and staff tended to them several times throughout the day. So many improvements since our last visit. Thanks to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!

We had a great week with the family at Pohara Top 10, our first time staying there. We chose a cabin with a bathroom and shower instead of tenting. Ours didn't have air conditioning, though apparently some of the one-bedroom units do. It didn't bother us since we were away most days. The facilities were clean, there was loads to do, including day trips, and it's great for kids. The staff were amazing. Back again in 2027.

The park staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with questions, and the facilities were the cleanest we've come across so far on our trip. The whole place felt personal and welcoming, so we were at home straight away. Having two pubs right next door was a nice bonus for evenings out. We had an amazing time at Pohara Beach. Golden Bay has honestly been one of the most beautiful places we've seen in New Zealand. The location is perfect, especially so close to Abel Tasman National Park, and the evening sunsets were among the most beautiful we've experienced. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back soon. 😊

$65 a night for this place is laughable. Unpowered sites cost the same as powered ones? Hilarious! The layout is awful. The kitchens are by reception, with the door on the opposite side of the building from where people camp. And the site maintenance is poor. There's no soap in the dispensers, and there's a broken, 1000-year-old hairdryer on the wall. How can they charge $65 for this? They also charge extra to use the showers, and only tell you after you've paid. If conserving water is the reason, fine, New Zealand can do what it wants, with its very small population and more fresh water than anywhere else on Earth. But why not give people the coins and recycle them through the little coin machines? Why does everything that's supposedly green and 'for the planet' have to cost me extra? 😂 So typical. 'Oh, it's to conserve the tiny amount of water we have in this country, nothing to do with the electricity bill being paid on top of our overpriced site fees.' Terrible place. I'll NEVER return.
