Auto Lodge Motel

That bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up. The room felt fresh and had everything I needed to feel at home, plus a decent sized bathroom and a shower with great pressure. The staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating too. If the scale went to 10, I’d give this place an 11. I’ll definitely stay again, and for longer next time I’m in Hamilton. Cheers, Sio

Lots of windows meant lovely natural light in the room, and the bed was super comfortable. For the price, this is the best basic hotel I’ve found in Hamilton. The room is clean and cleverly laid out, with no space wasted, and the kitchenette came in handy. They also provide New Zealand milk and cookies. I loved the hotel’s history. Just be aware there’s no elevator.

I showed up at the last minute for work without a booking and had my keys in under two minutes. Great service. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the extras were well beyond what I’d expect for the price. The shower pressure was awesome too. Some of the negative reviews seem unfair to me. Auto Lodge Motel is great value for motel rates, and the people running it are quality operators. I’d stay here again.

Check-in and checkout were both a breeze, and the location worked really well for us, close to the CBD, pak n save, shops, and fast food. We were in Hamilton for a couple of days with my hubby, and the stay was great value for money. I’d definitely come back. The room was tidy and seemed recently renovated, with spotless walls and amenities in great condition. The shower had strong pressure, and the bed was comfy, so we slept well. One night we heard a baby crying and some people talking, probably guests leaving, and cars could be heard passing by, so we needed to shut the windows at night.
