The staff were so friendly, and we had a lovely stay. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfy, and the buffet breakfast was delicious. I was disappointed, though, to see pool photos and then find out when we arrived that they no longer have a pool.

The room keys have the hotel name and room number on them, which doesn't seem like good security practice, so don't lose yours. We also struggled to open our door because the carpet was too high and the door had to be forced against it. The place is a little dated, but the rooms are quiet, the bed is comfy, and there's an extensive breakfast, so I can't really complain.

The buffet breakfast and dinner were good, and the wait staff were lovely and friendly. Still, I probably could have found a cleaner motel for the same price. The hotel is aged and needs an upgrade. We had a standard room, and the air smelled badly of damp and mustiness when we walked in. The bathroom fan did nothing about the condensation, the undersheet was stained brown, and the gym machines didn't work properly.

The staff were great and the food was okay, but we were glad to stay only one night. The huge hotel felt deserted, with just one other family and a solo traveller around, and the musty smells made it feel very weird. It was really tired, with patched carpets that looked like the cheapest patches they could find, in patterns that didn't match at all. We might have looked for another hotel if we'd stayed longer.

The breakfast was lovely, and the stay felt like good value. I found the hotel easily on Google Maps, and the staff were friendly both when I booked and when I checked in. I came to Hamilton for a weekend and had a lovely accessible room with the best night's sleep. I'll be back and would recommend it to family and friends.
