Brooklyn Motor Lodge

We've stayed here twice before, and the motel has definitely gone downhill. The value was excellent, but that was about it. Our disability unit was away from traffic and noise, though there was an old planter box by the door filled with sand and cigarette butts, and the light above the door had half its cover hanging off. Inside, the pillows looked sad, so luckily we'd brought our own. The bed felt worn, with shallow dips where each person sleeps. Neither the kitchen sink nor bathroom sink had a plug. There was no vegetable or sharp knife in the drawer, and no bowls for fruit or salad, so we used the frying pan. I pressed the reception button, but nobody came. In the evening, there was no bathroom light apart from the vanity light above the basin. The small mini fridge worked overtime for most of the night and kept us from getting much sleep. The motel could be used by SAS for survival training.
