Norton Motel

Getting the key and checking in at another motel around the corner was no big deal. The place itself feels almost brand new, more like a studio apartment than a motel room. It's well equipped, with free WiFi that doesn't need a password, and very quiet at that end of town, away from the main strip.

I was really impressed by the modern, clean room and all the things it had. Picking up the key meant going to another location, but the help there was wonderful. It was a relaxed stay, and I had everything I needed.

These are clean, new rooms that work well for a short stay, with daily housekeeping. The WiFi is free, and you can use Netflix, Prime, and other services on the TV with your own account. The shower gets very hot, the bathroom ventilation is good, and the air conditioning works well. We could hear people rolling luggage down the hall, but the other guests weren't noisy during our stay, and the quiet policy seems to be enforced. There's on-site parking, with some covered spaces and some outdoors. It's first come, first served, but there seemed to be enough for every room. Check-in is at a place four minutes down the road; when you leave, you can just leave the key in the room.

We stayed last night, 19.09.2025. The room was clean, tidy, and reasonably equipped, but there was no milk in the fridge or at check-in; we had to ask for some. There was no soap for washing or showering either. Most seriously, the toilet blocked, even though we used it as we do our own at home. Staff suggested we'd used too much toilet paper, which felt like an accusation. My wife had already told them it wasn't flushing properly, and they said no one could help right then but someone could come in about 15-20 minutes. She needed to use the bathroom, and no one offered an alternative, such as another vacant room's toilet. We left abruptly when two people arrived in a black sedan to look into the problem. The way staff treated my wife made it seem they thought she was lying, though she was telling the truth. They showed no empathy or courtesy and offered no compensation for the inconvenience. As my wife said, we won't be back.
