I stayed here over a year ago and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. The rooms are kept in great condition, are fully self-contained, and have very comfortable beds. Housekeeping cleaned them daily, and the team were friendly. There’s laundry on site for a small fee, plenty of car parking, and shops, takeaway places, and sightseeing spots are close by, with some within walking distance. Reception were helpful with any questions. You don’t need anything else.

The Base shopping zone at Te Rapa is literally across the road. Our room was clean and suited its purpose, the bed was comfortable, and the motel amenities were good value. We’ll return and are happy to recommend it.

I’m glad we went ahead with the stay after a travel delay nearly made us reschedule. We were in the no-refund period, so we pushed through and ended up in a very clean, well-maintained two-storey apartment with two king beds, a full kitchen, a hot tub of our own, and a bathtub. Thanks for the stay. 🙏

I’m away a lot for work, though this wasn’t a work trip, and this was the best room I’ve ever stayed in. It was comfy and clean, right beside the pool. The Base is just a two-minute drive away.

For a short business trip like mine, this place worked perfectly, especially if you’re after some peace and quiet. My room was spotless and quite big, and The Base is very close, so the location is central.
