Quest on London

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always happy to help. Our apartment at Quest Hamilton was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We’d definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room we were assigned was on the 3rd floor, but the elevator only went as far as the 2nd, so we had to take the stairs for the last floor. We knew the hotel was older, but nobody had told us about this beforehand. The deposit situation was the biggest problem during our stay. We checked in around 6 PM, outside staff working hours, and weren’t told a deposit was required. Although we’d already paid the room charges in full, staff wouldn’t unlock our room keys without a credit card for the deposit. The next day, my wife briefly stepped out with the children and the key was locked because the deposit hadn’t been paid. She’d left her wallet in the room, but the front desk initially refused to unlock the cards. In the end they released only one of the two, saying we’d get the other after registering the deposit. There was a phone in the room, but no one had tried to call or let us know about the deposit. Locking the room just because someone stepped out without paying it seemed completely unreasonable. I shudder to think what might have happened if this occurred after staff had left for the day, especially with children.

Rooms are reasonably sized, and the price seems fair for what you get. The building is easy to access and sits on the edge of the city. Secured parking is limited, though the website clearly says so.

The staff were really pleasant, and the room was lovely and clean, with crisp white sheets and towels. Having a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom was very handy.
