We had a great experience at the Novotel after the Quest debacle. Save yourself the time you won’t get back and go to the Novotel. Quest’s service was absolutely awful. I’d provided a credit card two weeks before the booked night, but communication about it was poor. When we arrived at the apartment, there was nobody on site to sort things out. Terrible service ethic.

The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly, and there was no support when it failed. The receptionist brushed it off as a problem with my phone, so I had to buy extra 4/5G data. The apartment has no views and is on a busy street, though it’s close to central Hamilton and a variety of shops are just steps away. The river walk is a bonus.

10/10
The apartment was huge, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and nice. It’s squeezed between other buildings, but still conveniently located. Parking is a bit cramped, so plan ahead. In the city, I think the $20 parking charge is worth it. I’d definitely stay again!

8/10
The location is excellent for Wintec, with mall shopping and a food court just across the street and Starbucks around the corner. The apartment was reasonably quiet and had a good kitchen with a microwave, oven, fridge, and kettle, plus an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a table and chairs, and a lounge. The bathroom was spacious. There’s no TV in the bedroom.

8/10
The location was great, and the room worked really well for us with a baby sleeping in the lounge. We liked the kitchen and bathroom, and having a washer and dryer in the room was ideal. Getting in after hours was a bit of a hassle, though. The instructions for the door and car park weren’t clear, and security was having trouble opening the entrance remotely.
