We were treated like family. My wife, our two kids, and I were looked after every day, and the staff made the stay feel warm and relaxed. The location right on the main strip meant restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, and everything else we needed were close by. Check-in was easy and welcoming, with staff who were attentive and professional. Our room was reset daily even though we kept it tidy, so we didn’t have to spend our holiday cleaning. Complimentary tea and snacks were there too. We’ll be back next time.

I stayed at Omahu Motor Lodge from 12 Jan-2 Feb, and Dayle and Mike went out of their way to make things comfortable with my mobility issues. They arranged a spacious, spotless studio to suit my needs, brought my mobility scooter each morning, and stored it in their garage to charge overnight. Their relieving managers, Kim and Tom, also provide seamless service when covering. The housekeepers deserve credit too: Lynnie, Jess and Jennifer, you are the BOMB. Thanks to all of you for the smiles and great work. If spotless linen and people with great people skills matter to you, Omahu Motor Lodge is the place. Thank you for everything.

We’ve stayed twice recently, and both times the accommodation was lovely, fully equipped, and spotless. The friendly couple managing the motel were always around to help with anything we needed, and the attention to detail was just right. When it was pouring one day, they offered us a big umbrella, which we used. The motel is opposite Hawke’s Bay Hospital, on the main street with everything we needed within walking distance. A lovely experience, thank you!

The owners were lovely and looked after us. Our room was spacious and very clean, with soft beds and a shower with good pressure. Splash Planet is nearby, the hospital is right across the road, and everything else was within a 10-minute drive or less. A great place to stay.

We were on a road trip with our two young kids and stayed for one night. The room was immaculate and really spacious, and the staff were lovely and helpful. There are plenty of services nearby, and the location worked well. Highly recommend.
