Bluemoon Lodge - Hostel

Right in the middle of town, with a great kitchen and lounge setup. The room was excellent too, and the service was great. Highly recommend!

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, but be prepared for very basic facilities. There’s no water or toilet in the room, and the toilet is in the next building. There’s just one light, nowhere near the bed, and only one power outlet for the whole room, so no bedside lamp either.

The kitchen was really clean and worked well. The bedrooms could use some renovation, though, and for what you get, it felt expensive. It was okay for a night.

The facilities themselves are quite nice, with a good kitchen, clean bathrooms and a comfortable bed, though some of the other mattresses felt less comfortable. Still, I wouldn’t pay the high price again. There were lots of bugs, since the doors and windows were left open day and night, and cigarette smoke drifted in from the volunteers smoking right beside the kitchen. One volunteer was friendly, but the owner was away and left them running the hostel. If you don’t want smoke around while cooking or relaxing, I’d stay somewhere else. I also had a serious problem with the power. My international charger, which had never given me trouble before, charged incredibly slowly. When I checked it, it smelled like smoke, and touching it burned me. Something seemed wrong with the electricity, so be careful with your devices. Mine was ruined, and replacing it made the already expensive stay feel even less worth it.
