Havelock North Holiday Park

The tent sites are generously sized, and the park feels like a hidden gem. We stayed two nights and had an amazing time. Staff were so nice, and the facilities were modern and clean. There’s a heated pool and a playground for the kids. Off The Track is a minute’s walk from camp, and both the service and food were amazing. The sunflower maze and cafe are just down the road, with great coffee and food too. Highly, highly recommend.

The bathrooms and kitchen are stunning, and the pool was awesome. We loved this campground as a family. The staff were friendly, and the owners are laid back and easy going. It was nice not to worry that the kids would get told off by the managers for just being kids. Having the dump stations beside the camper was great. A short hose on the tap would help clean up any mess while emptying. If we come back to the North Island, we'll definitely stay again.

We had a peaceful six nights camping over Christmas, close to the strawberry farm, and the pool was lovely. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were lovely too, as others have said. I was especially grateful that we could bring our old dog and keep her with us. Perfect holiday, and we'll be back soon.

We liked the room and the location, a little way down the road from Havelock North city center and about 10 minutes from Hastings. Reception was friendly when we arrived. We stayed two nights, so the cabin was tidy enough for us without room service. The cabin we had would suit a large family or older kids best, since the second room doesn't connect to the main room. That's just my point of view, though. Otherwise, excellent.
