The hosts brought fresh bread, homemade muesli and local jams, and the property seemed to have everything I was looking for and more. It's quiet and private, set back from the street, while close enough to neighbors to feel safe. The linens, bath towels and robes were top quality, and the place was very comfortable. It's a quick, flat walk to the Havelock North village, with Hawkes Bay sights an easy drive away. I stayed at La Petite Maison soon after it opened and couldn't have been happier. Fantastically comfortable, and a real experience from start to finish. I've stayed in some of the best villas around the world, and this is right up there. I'll definitely return to La Petite Maison.

The owner was lovely, and the welcome pack of local artisan bread and breakfast foods was delicious. We loved the outside bath, the fully equipped kitchen and the facilities. Everything was finished to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Such a stunning, special place in a peaceful, convenient location. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can. Thank you for a wonderful week.

We had breakfast supplied and enjoyed it outside, a perfect start to the day. The private outdoor bath under the stars was very romantic. The kitchen was well appointed, the linens excellent, and it was quiet with an easy walk into the delightful Havelock North village. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I'm disappointed and cross. I booked and paid for two nights after La Petite Maison listed its pretty accommodation as available, then they sent me a note saying the first night wasn't convenient for them. Booking.com says the refund will take 7-12 days. I think treating a customer this way is very bad manners. I'd give no stars if I could.
