Gulf Harbour Lodge

We had to move rooms for the second night because the shower was blocked, and the housekeeping in the new room wasn't any better. There was thick dust on surfaces, dirty black hand marks above the toilet, and a black ring around the bath. The hotel feels tired, but that doesn't excuse the blocked shower or the poor cleaning. The staff were very friendly, yet didn't apologise or acknowledge the inconvenience. It isn't worth the nightly price. I emailed them and still haven't had a reply. Keep looking for somewhere much nicer.

We paid $175 per night for two nights at Gulf Harbour. There was nobody to welcome us when we arrived, and we waited 30 minutes before someone finally spoke to us. The room was okay, but there was only enough hot water for one person to shower for four minutes. I wouldn't recommend Gulf Harbour. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review. They don't understand the basics of customer service. 1/10 for Gulf Harbour. Regards, Brian

The rooms cover the basic needs, but they look dated and old. Small details were overlooked, like a bedside lamp that didn't work and a curtain that wasn't hung properly. The cleaning could be better too.

The room was just okay, but for what we paid I expected air con or some of the usual hotel features. It was right above a bar, and the noise carried on very late. We'll stay somewhere else next time we're in the area.
