The upstairs room was roomy and clean, and the little balcony was a nice touch. We usually eat out and hardly use a kitchenette, but it had what we needed when we made breakfast on Christmas morning, since everything was closed. The host at check-in was lovely, and the guest laundry was useful too. We’d happily book here again.

Friendly staff and a handy spot near the town centre and tours made this a good-value stop on the way to Milford Sound. It’s an older motel, but it’s been kept in good shape. The rooms are generous in size, with parking right outside each one.

There’s plenty of parking, and the front desk staff were terrific. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a kitchenette. The location worked well for us too, about a 10-minute walk to the town centre and 20 minutes to the bird sanctuary.

We were close to the lake and only a short walk from town. The staff were warm and helpful, and our spacious room had good facilities and a comfortable bed.

A great room, recently refurbished as far as I could tell, and finished to a high standard.
