I couldn't get a good night's sleep in the uncomfortable bed, which dipped like a U, so we spent all night fighting gravity. We didn't sleep at all, and our backs hurt all day. The cabin smelled dirty, and one pillowcase had clearly been used and smelled bad. The very old bathrooms only had curtains for doors, so I didn't feel safe showering. The kitchen was very incomplete, with just one spoon, one bowl, and so on, and there was no outside light for the cabin. I came to leave a review here because reviews had been deactivated in booking.

We enjoyed the short 10-15 minute walk into town, and all the other guests were quiet and respectful. The children loved the swimming pool, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a great stay at 252 Beachside. Our room was clean and comfortable.

My boyfriend booked this one without reading the reviews, and I hope you're reading this before making the same mistake. We paid for a powered site for two nights but left after the first. There's a dog that I think lives permanently in a caravan, and it shits all over the sites. What a welcome for paying customers. Holey moley, what a dump. Do NOT stay here.

The bed was horrible. We tried the other double bed in the room too, but both were equally bad, with the springs coming through the thin mattress. The doona cover had a cigarette burn in it, which wasn't a good look. At least it was a dry night's sleep for the price, but the room had a musty smell. The showers needed a good clean and proper doors. I felt unsafe with only shower curtains separating me from the rest of the bathroom. The bedroom doors didn't shut properly either.

The whole property felt run-down and neglected, and even the carpet didn't fit the floor properly. The place was absolutely filthy: the sheets were clearly unclean, the showers were disgusting and obviously hadn't been cleaned, and the overall hygiene was appalling. This was one of the worst accommodation experiences I've ever had. It shouldn't be operating as accommodation, and isn't fit for guests. If you've already booked, I'd strongly advise leaving immediately, finding somewhere else, and taking the matter to the Disputes Tribunal. Avoid at all costs.
