We were booked for five nights, but left after a couple of hours and found somewhere else. The place felt unloved, and when we arrived there was a car parked right up against our door, leaving just enough room to get in. No one was at reception. We’d waited until check-in time, only to be told the door was open and the key was inside. Anyone could have gone in and made a mess, and we might have been held responsible. My partner said it smelled inside, and there were loud people in the other rooms and banging from one side to the other, like the plumbing was going to explode. The next day I’d lost a bag, so he went back, and the room was still as we’d left it. The following morning I asked him to return, lock up, and put the keys in their box. Someone was there then, and he was lovely and tried to get us to stay. But I could still smell that old, musty stench, so we said no and left. We probably lost the money, but that’s how it went.

The kettle leaked and wouldn't hold water. I also found dirty dishes in the kitchen cupboards and old nail clippings on the floor. The place felt like an inexperienced DIY job, and traffic on the nearby road kept making noise as cars sped past. Staying here was extremely unpleasant.

I got my booking wrong, and there isn't a full-time office person on site. The woman who lives in the reception building was really helpful, though. She called the manager and got everything sorted out. We ended up in a nice, well-equipped suite, and it was clean and comfortable.

I stayed in unit 5. The bed was comfortable, but the room wasn't very clean, and an inside dripping sound kept me from sleeping well. It sounded like a shower hadn't been turned off properly, with drops landing on stainless steel. The shower was disgusting, with slippery tiles, dirty grout, and filthy curtains. There were no vents to clear the steam, just a gap in the window. And there was only one towel for the two of us.

This motel was badly run-down, and the room smelled awful because the laundry next door was leaking into it. The staff member who was on site for all of five minutes couldn't seem to care less. The whole place is in pretty rough shape.
