Birchwood Manor Motel

I've stayed here a couple of times, and it's always clean and warm. Staff are helpful, and the location makes a good base for walking or driving. The town is less than a 10-minute walk away, and the supermarket is across the street.

The room was ready when we arrived, even though we'd booked at the last minute after our plans changed. The staff were lovely to deal with. Everything was clean and well appointed, with plenty of space for our family of five. The beds were very comfortable, and we'd absolutely stay here again when visiting Invercargill.

There was a strong fishy smell when we first got into the room, and a dripping sound from the ceiling carried on all night. The bedding could have been cleaner too, as our blankets had yellow stains. Otherwise, it was a decent place to stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, with TVs in both the bedroom and lounge and Sky included. The kitchen and bathroom seemed pretty new, and the separate toilet was great.

We were working in Bluff and stayed at Birchwood Manor for 10 days. The friendly, helpful staff made it easy when we needed to add a couple of days. They changed things around so we could keep the same room. Our unit had a bedroom and living room and was comfortable and up to date. The bed was great after a long day at work, and the cleaning was very good. I'd highly recommend staying here.
