After a long drive, this was a lovely place to recharge. My room was cosy and had a really comfortable bed. Judy is a kind, interesting host, and I enjoyed our lively conversations. I'd stay here again whenever I'm near Kaikoura.

Our room looked out over a beautiful green field, with seagulls adding to the lovely view. Everything nearby, including attractions and restaurants, was about a five-minute drive away. After our long flight and drive, Judy welcomed us warmly, showed us around the house, and helped us get settled.

The room was comfortable, and our hostess was wonderful. The cat was so cute and the dog was playful 🐱🐶. We arrived late and left early, so we didn't get a proper chance for photos or goodbyes. We'd love to return and spend longer if we get the chance.

Breakfast was good, served upstairs in the kitchen with the other guests. We had a nice apartment with a small kitchen and en-suite bathroom, and the backyard was peaceful. We felt welcome from the start. Judy was friendly and lovely to talk to, with great stories and helpful tips. We really enjoyed chatting with her over breakfast. Thanks, Judy, for the wonderful hospitality.

The balcony has stunning mountain views, and there's a hot tub to use after hiking, mountain biking, whale watching, or a day out. Breakfast is included and has something for everyone. It feels like a perfect holiday spot, and you can see the care Judy puts into the place after running it for 25 years.
