Jen and the team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were warm, professional, and attentive to the little details. The restaurant was another pleasant surprise, with food whose flavour and presentation could easily match places in the town centre. We also enjoyed a round of golf. The course was fun and well maintained, with a design that brought every club in the bag into play. The accommodation was comfortable and updated, with modern conveniences. This hotel, golf course, and restaurant just outside Kaikōura are a rare find. It's about a nine-minute drive from town, but the peaceful, beautiful setting feels a world away. The short trip is well worth it. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful visit.

We've just had our fifth stay at this wonderful spot, and we always leave feeling completely relaxed. Jen and Warren make the laid-back place feel so welcoming. The little golf course is great fun and gives you a decent challenge.

The rooms look out onto a stunning view, with the golf course right at the door and peaceful surroundings all around. It's a nice lodge tucked near the foot of the Kaikoura ranges. We only stayed one night, so unfortunately we didn't make it to the restaurant or bar.

The views are nice, but I wouldn't pay $30 to play here again. I played nine holes, and the course needs serious attention. Some of the greens were awful and looked diseased, which made the round challenging. There are much better courses to play, and most with this level of quality cost far less. Obviously, feedback only seems to go one way, which isn't a good sign for the manager. If the green fees had matched the course quality, there'd have been no need for this review.
