We booked four nights and ended up staying twelve. It's such a beautiful campground that we wanted to make our visit longer, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll absolutely come back. The beach is only a stone's throw away, and we loved seeing ducklings and Wekas wander around camp and hearing the moreporks. It was incredibly busy while we were there, so you need to be okay with that. I can only imagine how peaceful and beautiful it must be in the off-season. The sites are a good size, the staff are lovely, and we met some really down-to-earth people. It was fun chatting with our neighbours every day. My only small suggestion is to extend the six-minute shower limit. Eight or even ten minutes would help people with disabilities, injuries or health challenges. We've loved our stay and will be sad to leave at the end of the week. Thank you Kaiteriteri!

The weather was wonderful, but there was no room at the Inn for us. The beach was so packed with people that we couldn't see the sand, and people were swimming in the sea. I'd thought this place would be out of the way, but it seems the whole South Island knows about it.

This is one of the best camping parks I've stayed at, possibly the best. There are plenty of shower, toilet, laundry and kitchen blocks around the grounds, and everything was kept very clean and tidy. The stunning beach is right across the road. I'll definitely stay again.

The beach-facing flats, apparently numbers 7 and 8, look straight out over the water and catch a stunning sunrise. Other units face north, with an angled view toward one end of the beach and across the campground. I stayed two nights in November while driving around the South Island. The apartment was modern and practical, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

The facilities were a strong point: plenty of washrooms and kitchen areas, all very clean, and the location was excellent. But the pitches are packed closer together than at other places, and ours was beside a fresh water tap, which made it noisy. Campers came early to fill their tanks before setting off, and people also emptied grey water into the drains by that tap several times during the day. The early morning noise was the worst. I wouldn't stay again or recommend it.
