Kaka Point Views Apartment 2

The room was clean and a good size, with a lovely view. The water just smelled bad.

The ocean views are stunning, and there's a good pub and restaurant only about 100 metres away. Inside, everything was immaculate, with all the facilities we needed, including a kitchenette, fast WiFi, and a large modern bathroom. They even left a fresh bowl of fruit and board games. Very impressed and would happily recommend it.

Update, June 2025: Nothing has changed, which is fabulous. Four years after our first stay, and several visits since, Kaka Point views still feels fresh and very clean, with remarkably few visible blemishes. We come back for a few relaxing nights with the family or use it as a longer base for the Catlins. The view makes it easy to sit back and unwind. The host clearly takes pride in the place. We stayed over Matariki and were cosy with lovely bedding and couch throws, maybe a bit too warm! The heat pumps keep the apartment warm, or cool in summer, and the WiFi is great if you want to stay connected. Highly recommended. We stayed in the apartment unit. It's comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed. The hosts have added thoughtful touches like bread in the freezer and jam. Great WiFi and a big TV if you get tired of the view. A small BBQ was available when we stayed.

The sea views are fantastic, and it was calming to see and hear the water. We just followed the track down to the pub for dinner, very easy. The place is awesome, recently built and tastefully done. We'll definitely come back to the two bedroom apartment for another girls' weekend!
