The beach was fabulous, and our dog had plenty of room to exercise alongside the local dogs. The grounds are beautiful, the reception was lovely, and everything felt well maintained. Our shower was great and the services were top-notch. It’s pet friendly too. We’ll come back and try our luck fishing. Five stars!

Chalet 7 was clean and tidy, but it’s looking tired and needs an upgrade. The hot water in the shower was unpredictable, turning scalding at times. The rollaway bed had a very weak king single frame. The camp kitchen was great, and the cold wash costs $5. Bring your own pegs. Be careful with the outdoor gas BBQ, it needs cleaning. We started a fire when lighting it with the lid down.

There’s a lot to like about the campground’s location, with different beaches and bays to visit, swim and fish at, and some sites have plenty of shade. The facilities are great, but the sites aren’t laid out clearly, so it’s hard to tell which area is yours. Our campsite had a lot of rubbish when we arrived, including watermelon skins. The neighbours next to us stayed up drinking, talking and laughing loudly, and shone their torches over our tent until 12:20am. We’re leaving a night early because we’re tired and over the atmosphere. Other campers’ kids ignored a sign telling them not to fish for eels, and left a dead eel in the stream. Some kids were also standing on tables in the games room. If you don’t like disrespectful behaviour, this may not be the place for you. Camping here outside peak holiday times might be better.

The location is stunning and great for fishing. The rooms are a bit old, but well kept. I absolutely loved my stay and would highly recommend it. I’ll definitely be back.

Clean rooms, a great location and good value. The staff were friendly and helpful too. Great place to stay, and I’d recommend it.
