Judy and Bruce made us feel like old friends, while still giving us all the privacy and comfort of home. The villa is warm and charming inside, with homely comforts and thoughtful touches. Our family dog was made just as welcome, with secure room to roam, fresh water bowls, and safe walking areas nearby. We had a lovely time watching the dog explore the grounds and listening to birdsong over morning tea. Set among lush gardens in a peaceful rural spot, it felt far from everyday life. Every moment was restful and memorable, a beautiful escape.

Judy and Bruce were welcoming and pleasant hosts, and the accommodation was quiet, comfortable, and private. Although it joins part of their larger property, the space felt completely separate, and there was a garage for our vehicle. The gardens were exquisite, and we came away with ideas for our own garden in the UK. This was our first stop after flying in for a long NZ tour, and it was a perfect place to recover from the long flight before heading on. Highly recommended.

The Meadows Villa feels like a little paradise, even though it's so close to the city you wouldn't know it. The beds were comfortable, everything had been thought of, and nothing was too much trouble. We even got to enjoy the spa while we were there. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Christchurch or wanting a rest stop on the way to somewhere else.

We came back after 6 years and The Meadows Villa was just as good as we remembered. The house was clean, warm throughout in winter, and had all the features and amenities listed. The kids loved running around the garden, following the owners to feed their cows, and watching Netflix in the evenings. Such a lovely, homely place!

The two-bedroom villa was clean, tidy, and spacious, with its own parking garage and a washer/dryer in the garage. But we had no privacy. There was a connecting door to the main house that we couldn't lock from our side, and the other entrance through the garage couldn't be locked either. The owners came into the unit while we were out, without our knowledge or permission. There was no reason to enter, and it felt creepy that they waited until we were away. After a long, tiring day, we also had to sit through a very long explanation of rules and regulations and what their animals eat and drink. I doubt any of us would stay here again.
