The photos are completely misleading and nothing like the actual rooms. There was human faeces on the ground outside our room, and ants all through it. The cleaner brought a can of ant spray and left. The beds and linen had stains everywhere, the couch was one big stain so we sat on a sheet instead, and the fridge smelled awful, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, with mould growing on it. I raised it with reception and the owner. They asked, “what do you want me to do? It’s not a 5 star hotel”. It doesn’t have to be top tier for me to expect basic hygiene and health and safety measures. The amenities advertised online weren’t in the room at all. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and when I called about compensation, they just hung up. This place is rancid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! -100 stars

We’d booked two large units for the family, and because it was non-refundable and our group was so big, we ended up buying $50 worth of cleaning products plus our own bedding and towels just to make the place bearable. We didn’t feel comfortable letting the children touch the surfaces. The photos make it look lovely, but the units were very rough inside and badly damaged. The walls were filthy, there was hair on the beds, the couches were stained and smelled bad, and the floor hadn’t been vacuumed. When we opened the doors, both units smelled strongly of unwashed people. They appeared to have been used for emergency housing. There’s another motel on the same unit that isn’t shown in any of the photos, and it’s a lot less tidy. The windows don’t shut properly either, so road noise comes through very loudly.

The wind whistled through gaps because the windows wouldn’t close properly, and the room was extremely noisy. We were unlucky to be put next to the road and didn’t sleep at all. I don’t recommend it for an overnight stay.

There’s a bus stop not far away, and Edgeware is just around the corner, with a pub, supermarket and restaurant. The rooms and bathrooms are both a good size. It’s a 2.2 km walk into the city if that’s how you prefer to get around.
