Carol made Taiga Na Mara feel like a wonderful home for the first stop of my six-week New Zealand adventure. Her breakfast was delicious, and she made homemade bread and cookies. She was always ready with guidance and support, and even cooked a delicious lamb and vegetable dinner one evening. The location is outstanding, right by what’s become my favourite beach in the area, even now that I’m on the South Island. There’s also Luke's Kitchen, a fabulous beach bar and restaurant at the far end of the beach, which is a must. Highly recommend.

We had a great time during our New Zealand road trip. Carol was lovely to interact with and even made us dinner one night when the nearest restaurant was closed. It was wonderful. Before we arrived, she also let us know that one of the roads was closed and suggested another route. Later, other travellers heading to Coromandel told us not all B&B owners do that.

Carol gave us a lovely warm welcome and was the perfect host. The accommodation felt homely, and the location was ideal for exploring the area. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We were sorry to have only two nights here. The room was really comfortable and had everything we needed, and breakfast was lovely, with homemade bread and freshly cooked eggs and all the trimmings. Carol is a wonderful host, and before long it felt like staying with a very hospitable friend. The house is in a beautiful spot, with the beach only two minutes away. We also had dinner with Carol on our second night and really enjoyed both the meal and the conversation.

Carol gave us good tips for exploring the area, and the beach is magnificent, just two minutes away. We were warmly welcomed into a lovely house and had two beautiful, well-appointed rooms. Breakfasts were hearty and tailored to us, with homemade products. We had a very good stay. Don’t hesitate, go for it!
