8/10
We had everything we needed and plenty of room, with the furnishings and equipment all in decent shape, though fairly basic. The location and the view were gorgeous. Lake Tekapo delivered on the clear midnight sky, and we could step straight onto the huge balcony to see it. One thing that made the place feel less cozy was that practically everything had a label, presumably for Chinese tourists. It gave the interior a hospital-like feel.

It’s quiet here, a couple of streets back from the main road. The view is magnificent, and for me it’s worth staying just to enjoy that.

Shops are within walking distance, and the area is peaceful. The lake view is great too.
