A lovely country pub in beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and our food came out quickly. Two of us had the maple chicken bites, which were tasty with nice sauces. A friend ordered the pulled pork burger and was pleased with it too. That burger was very big! I'll stop in again when I'm out this way.

We popped in after finishing our cycling trip. The place was clean and pleasant, and although the beer we'd hoped to try had sold out, there was a great choice of Emerson’s beers and cider, so I tried those instead. The chips were really delicious too.

We had a great lunch here on the way back from Akaora to christchurch. The crispy mushroom was out of this world, so good. We also tried the fried chicken and roasted chicken with all the trimmings. I really liked the vibe of the place.

It's an easy stop between Christchurch and Akaroa, especially with so few choices in the area, and there's plenty of parking if you're driving. The salmon was excellent. The fish and chips were made with fresh fish but weren't especially memorable. Prices felt fair, and there was a broad range of drinks, including local and seasonal options.

Most of us chose the Sunday Roast, and as a British person, calling it FANTASTIC is high praise! The staff were really friendly and went above and beyond with their service. We had an amazing time at the Little River Inn and would highly recommend a visit.
