Auckland Airport Easy Hotel

We had a comfortable extra large bed, a very clean bathroom with a great shower, and plenty of room for suitcases. The ranch slider opened onto a pleasant courtyard. The staff were kind and thoughtful. Sahil brought my luggage to the room when he saw my arm was in a cast, and kindly extended checkout so my family could visit before we left Auckland. Emails and a phone call kept us well informed, and the shuttle arrived promptly with an excellent driver. Two free weeks of secure parking with two nights’ accommodation suited us perfectly, and it was good value. There are a few minor maintenance issues that could use some TLC, which is understandable with so many rooms. One suggestion: add the motorway exit name to the website for people arriving from the south. Google Maps sent us on a long detour through the suburbs. I’ll keep recommending this accommodation. There’s not much around the hotel except residences. After we arrived from the US, we got a rideshare to find coffee, then walked from there to pick up our rental car. The hotel kept our bags until we returned. We chose it partly because of the free shuttle, which was a major plus. We had a renovated room. It’s a good value place, basic but comfortable, and seems to still be a work in progress.

Check-in was easy, the rooms were tidy and reception accommodated our request for a late checkout. The airport shuttle was quick. We stayed overnight for our flights, but there was some noise from other guests in the corridor. The doors at the entrance to each corridor wing should be locked so only guests can open them, instead of being left open to anyone.

For an early flight, this is good value. The shuttle ride to the airport is about 10 minutes, there’s heaps of parking behind secure gates, and the room was spacious with a clean, decent shower. It’s not luxurious, but I paid $106 for one night, four days of parking and the shuttle both ways. Airport parking alone would have been $75, so it made more sense. The bed was a bit hard for me and the room was cold when I arrived. They have portable heaters, and I managed lol. The place doesn’t look swanky, and the restaurant is pretty drab. But appearances aren’t everything, the hoisin pork bao buns were delicious.
