Quality Suites Central Square

The reception staff were friendly, which gave me a good first impression, but the rooms were a letdown. None of the rooms had opening windows or a bathtub. The kitchen was sparsely equipped, with just one saucepan and one frying pan, and the oven knobs didn’t work. The safety chain was too short to latch. Towels kept being replaced even though their environmental policy says they only wash and replace ones left in the shower, while the floors weren’t vacuumed. “Quality” really doesn’t fit.

We picked this place for the location and regretted it after waking up covered in bed bug bites. There were also holes in the wall and curtains that didn’t close fully, and the customer service was very poor. They offered a refund by the end of the week, but nearly a month has passed and they’ve stopped replying to our emails. We’ve contacted them more than 10 times. We didn’t ask them to cover extra costs for cleaning the car or clothes, and were simply given rubbish bags. The refund still hasn’t arrived. As of 14/10/25.

The room was clean and pleasant until water leaked in from the room above and soaked my luggage and food. The reception person was very apologetic, but the manager wasn’t helpful and offered only a small discount on another stay. I won’t be back. The reception itself was nice. The TV needs sorting out too, I don’t want to log in or connect devices. Some milk and decent tea and coffee would have been good as well.

The location is great, but the service was poor and the hygiene horrendous. There were holes in the wall, curtains that didn’t close properly, and bed bugs. The receptionist saw the room the next day, watched our videos of the bugs, and confirmed them, but apparently they deny it now. We were told we’d get a refund by the end of the week or sooner. Nearly three weeks later, it still hasn’t come through.
