Beachfront Motel

We booked well ahead for Art Deco weekend, and it felt like good value. Parking was available right away and the location was fantastic. Service was great too: we arrived two hours [unclear source wording] and were in the room within five minutes. The room was re-equipped overnight. There was some minor damage in both the bathroom and bedroom, though, and it looked like it had been there for a while.

The rooms are nice and spacious, and the in-room spa is magnificent. But trying to reach reception by phone is a mission. They never answer calls, a few of the numbers listed online are out of service, and the working ones send you through an IVR. You can be left waiting for minutes before it transfers you to voicemail. The front desk should do something about it!!!

We had a private balcony to sit with coffee or wine, watch the New Years Eve fireworks, and enjoy the seaside sunsets. The Beach Front Motel is right by the beach, with lovely ocean views, so it’s easy to head out for a stroll or a swim. The rooms are roomy and cozy, and the amenities made the stay comfortable. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. There are good cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as must-see attractions, so there’s plenty to explore close by. It was a relaxing, enjoyable place to stay in Napier, and I’d happily recommend it for its comfort, views, and convenient location.

The view is perfection 👌 and it’s a lovely place to unwind, just a short stroll from town. We loved staying here. The room was lovely and clean, and the house keepers were amazing and friendly.
