Auckland Airport Motel

I liked the place so much that I returned within a week, which I rarely do with hotels. For a budget-priced option near the airport, the value, comfort, cleanliness, and service were hard to beat. The room was immaculate, neatly styled, spotless, and had no odours. Towels and toiletries were provided, and it came with a full kitchenette and fridge. There was laundry on site, and the shower had excellent pressure. Despite the nearby airport and main road, it was surprisingly quiet. My rate included a private airport transfer, a welcome relief after days of travel. I didn't have to wait for the yellow bus, and the woman who collected me was lovely and welcoming. The receptionist was warm, professional, and genuinely friendly, with the kind of small touches that make a difference. I was surprised by how much I liked Auckland Airport Motel, especially as it was the cheapest option in the area. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a place near the airport. The quality of the service and facilities compares well with much pricier places.

After an overnight drive from Gisborne, we arrived very early and asked if we could check in before 2pm. The receptionist on duty was a legend: she said the room was ready and let us go straight in. I don't think she knows how grateful we were 💜 The room was well equipped, clean, and comfortable. The rates are really good, and I'd happily stay again or recommend it.

The rooms were fine, but for two nights in a row people outside our door were yelling, talking, knocking, and running around until at least midnight. They woke our two babies, and nothing changed despite several calls. The motel says it invests in its guests, but staff didn't resolve the noise. When we asked for a partial refund for those two awful nights, they refused and gave the excuse that our kids had been loud outside for five minutes at 9:30am.

We were really happy with the room. It had a good-sized fridge, a clean new shower, a kitchen sink, and a very comfortable bed. For what we paid, it was perfect. A room like that would easily cost $250 in Australia.
